Hey, I'm Nate

I'm a software engineer based in the DC area with about 9 years of experience building things across the full stack. I've spent most of my career at Capital One, where I've worked on everything from greenfield Angular platforms to Python-based credit risk scorecards.

I studied Computer Science at the University of Virginia (Class of 2017) and I'm an AWS Certified Solutions Architect.

Outside of work, I'm always building something. I've made Chrome extensions, Alexa skills, data pipelines, and even this site — which is a ChatGPT-replica portfolio powered by Amazon Bedrock. I like picking up whatever tech fits the problem: Python, TypeScript, React, Angular, AWS serverless, browser automation with Playwright — whatever gets it shipped.

I'm also a gamer, which is how projects like Scrappy TR (a fan tool for ARC Raiders) and Layer8 (a Chrome extension for drawing graffiti on any webpage) came about. I tend to build tools for things I wish existed.
